Naruto Shippuden Movie – “Inheritors of the Will of Fire”
Naruto Shippuden Movie – “Inheritors of the Will of Fire” is the 3rd movie that was released for the Naruto Franchise. I just finished watching it with Z and I have to say it was really good. I was not able to enjoy it fully because my son wants me to translate each line to him so I end up reading the subtitles and simultaneously explaining to him the lines and whatever is happening. We also have to pause whenever a “jutsu” is performed, because Z wants me to teach him the “hand seals”. He was excited all the time, because there were a lot of actions in the movie. Another plus is that almost all of Naruto’s contemporaries are there. The downside I should say is that the enemies are too weak, and took only a few minutes for the different teams to finish off. Anyway the story is pretty straightforward, some old guy wants to assimilate 5 bloodline limit skills and the 5th one happens to be Kakashi. Without giving out too many spoilers, let me just say that the Moral of the story was really good. Bottom line is that the true way of success is not by doing it on your own – but by “bonding” with others – quite deep for a cartoon huh? No need to take out your box cutter to scavenge for the video online, you can watch it here.

OGenki – Japanese Restaurant
I am a fan of Japanese food. During my teens, we used to ran a Japanese Restaurant business of our own and I helped prepare and serve food for our customers. The plus side is I get to taste/eat everything, while the downside is I always lack sleep! Our specialty was the Okonomiyaki or what we fondly called the Japanese Pancake/Pizza – which I dearly miss. It’s just a bunch of vegies with some seafood meat bound together by flour and spices and cooked like a pizza – but the taste was WOW. The cooking on our restaurant was first class – mostly because our cook, which is also the owner and my step father – is a genuine Japanese. Japanese are not only known for their cooking, they are also known for their orderliness and cleanliness. With great tasting food combined with awesome presentation and nice looking ambiance, we were able to gather “Big Time” loyal customers. Just to name a few: Our Town’s Mayor and Congressman, along with their entire security detail and friends were a common site on our restaurant. We also have bosses, engineers of Japanese / Korean companies like Sanyo and other companies within Taguig. We also have rich Japanese nationals that are currently living in the Philippines. We also deliver to factories that are run by Japanese within the area. So if you look at it, the business was doing good. However it was not making enough to match what my stepfather would make if he was running his restaurant in Japan. One notable error in judgment that most agreed on is that we should have established the restaurant in a better location (i.e. within a mall or near a class A village). So after more than a year of running, we sadly closed down the restaurant. And my stepfather left for Japan for good. If it was still open, I’d be sure to bring Z and my wife J as often as possible. That is one thing I wish they were able to experience.

Well not quite what you would imagine, but at least my video is currently featured on their website. You can check it out here It’s an old video of me playing Bold as Love with Z almost messing it up. Looks like the opposite happened, this video is turning out to be my most popular video. Thanks to RX 93.1 for the feature, hope they feature my original music in the future. I have attached a screenshot of their page so that when they change the featured video – I still have my evidence… (“,)
