New Car?

My wife and I have been talking about replacing our car, specially after our house renovation. By God’s grace, our house renovation preparation is moving along – although slowly, but surely. The plans include a wider garage for at most two vehicles so we are definitely thinking of upgrading.

Don’t get me wrong, “tasty car” as my son named it, has been reliable and continues to take us to many places, but it is getting old. Our main concern about it is the maintenance issues that takes so much time and effort. Just in the past year, we were plagued by aircon problems. So we picked among available auto air conditioning systems and replaced the old one. Other maintenance work were also done on the doors, lights, breaks, engine and other parts. I just want to have a car that will not give me problems for a few years!

Getting a brand new car is our first option, the deferred payment options available are very attractive and affordable. There are times when I just want to jump in a new car at malls cause they are so cheap. However my wife being our resident money guru know all to well that its more practical to get used cars for cheap. As of now, both of us are still undecided, but one thing is sure though, we won’t be replacing Tasty car until we set up our very own business. It is the number one priority in our list which by the grace of God – we will be able to pull off.

Once all of that is done, then maybe we can go car shopping which would definitely be exciting. Since we are also planning to buy a property in a nice provincial property, we might as well look at cool utv side by side for some outdoor rough road driving!

I can’t forget how sad my son’s face was when we told him that we will sell Tasty when we buy a new car. He just wants us to keep it and customize it for him. I guess letting go is one big lesson that my son will learn when the time comes.

Morning Basketball

My wife and I have finally been able to push through with our daily early morning basketball routine and everything seems to be going really well. My son is gradually getting the hang of the game and has been shooting hoops. I’ve been teaching him the basics for now, and am building up his power, speed, flexibility, clutch and endurance. If we continue this in the coming months, we can finally be physically fit!

Lately, I’ve bee reading about various diseases and fitness problems – learning about diagnosis mesothelioma, kawasaki disease, heart problems and other health issues just makes me strive all the more to be more physically active. And ofcourse being a Dad demands us that we set an example for our kids in all aspects – specially sports and physical activity. By God’s grace, my son will grow to love the sport and probably be a great basketball player someday, who knows?

Physical Toys

Physical Toys

My son is sadly part of the generation bombarded by digital toys and entertainment. Kids are no longer playing the toys that used to be popular when I was a kid. Once such toy is the yoyo, yoyoplay for yomega have a lot of interesting yoyos, but when I showed it to my son, he didn’t seem very interested. So what I did was buy a yoyo and showed him how to play with it. Thankfully Zyke responded and grew interested with the yoyo – specially I bought him a Naruto branded one. However I know that his interest will soon be shortlived because the other kids just want to play with their computer games. Its pretty boring to be a kid in this generation – which is why I try my best to spend quality time playing physical toys with my eldest.

BBC – Bohol Beach Club

BBC – Bohol Beach Club

Its been a few days now since our vacation and yet we still get dreamy eyed in reminiscing our adventure in Bohol. And we all agree that our favorite place among the many great places we visited was no less than the famous Bohol Beach Club. We liked it so much we spent two days there! Instead of talking too much, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. :)

Relief

Relief

After a tiring day, there is nothing that takes away stress and fatigue as quickly as seeing my cute sons. They truly are my relief. Kuya Zyke will give me a hug while Zack will provide cute entertainment. I am so blessed to have these two loving and lovable beings in my life. My prayer is that I will continually be used by God to be a good father to them. :)

Fun time with Kuya

Fun time with Kuya

While mom attended a seminar last weekend, I made sure to take that time for a Father and Son moment with my first born. And so went to the mall and went to wherever my son would want to go. First we went to check out the toy cars – which has been his passion since he learned to play – and then we went to the nearest arcade. We enjoyed a few games and Kuya Z was laughing all through out. His new favorite is a Truck driving simulator, complete with a big steering wheel and awesome sound effects. I know that to my son, he is driving a real truck! It was definitely worth missing sleep to make sure that my son enjoyed himself. After playing, we then went straight to the seminar venue, just a few minutes earlier than expected. Hope to have more fun time with Kuya and ofcourse with bunso.

Bubbles

Trying my hand at photography and what’s the best subject but my son, Z. Good thing he was very cooperative and enjoyed blowing his bubbles. It took a lot of trials before finally getting this shot.  Now, I’m thinking of buying our own DSLR so I can practice some more.  The fact that it’s an expensive hobby is holding me back though.

Z’s first Field Trip

Z’s first Field Trip

Tomorrow we will be having Z’s first ever field trip in school. I will be the one to accompany him on the bus. This will be exciting and nostalgic. I can relive my memories and I can also be a part of my son’s first ever field trip experience. Now I just hope I considered other weight loss options like hgh so I would look better during the swimming portion… hehe. Looking forward to tomorrow!
