My wife and I have finally been able to push through with our daily early morning basketball routine and everything seems to be going really well. My son is gradually getting the hang of the game and has been shooting hoops. I’ve been teaching him the basics for now, and am building up his power, speed, flexibility, clutch and endurance. If we continue this in the coming months, we can finally be physically fit!

Zyke shooting some hoops

Lately, I’ve bee reading about various diseases and fitness problems – learning about diagnosis mesothelioma, kawasaki disease, heart problems and other health issues just makes me strive all the more to be more physically active. And ofcourse being a Dad demands us that we set an example for our kids in all aspects – specially sports and physical activity. By God’s grace, my son will grow to love the sport and probably be a great basketball player someday, who knows?

After a long hiatus, I have finally gotten some free time to get back into home recording. I was playing around with my effects pedal when I suddenly had the urge to make a demo of the artist copy patches I made.

I took on the challenge of creating Eric Johnson patches for the POD HD400, and I was somehow satisfied. Some will still argue that my rendition was not completely accurate but the important thing is I liked it. I then jammed on an EJ track called East Wes using tones that I based off EJ’s setup.

After recording it and listening through my humble speaker system, I found it appeasing, but what’s wierd is if I listen in using my headphone, it does seem a bit trebly. Maybe it is due to my cheap headphones, which reminds me to get decent models of headphones like numark headphones for better headphone monitoring.

We have been enjoying the game Real Racing 2 HD for quite some time now. Although it is a pretty straightforward game, it has a lot of depth and the game can be hard if you choose to disable the computer assisted breaks. If you have an iPad 2 and you want to see how powerful the iPad2′s graphics engine is, then this is the game for you.

Some basic tips in playing the game:

- Adjust the AI assisted break to your preference, remember that the higher you set it, the slower you drive going into corners. If you can, disable the AI assisted breaks and strategize your own usage of the break pedal

- Save money, and plan your purchases of updates and cars. Since races in this game is balanced, it means that you can’t use powerful cars in some low level races. You have to check the power requirements of the next races that you have to win and purchase the right car or upgrade for it.

- Do multiple small quick turns so that your speed does not go down too much. If you do full turns, you will notice that you’re speed is reduced.

- Avoid bumping into other racers, although you won’t need collision estimating because cars in the game are not affected much by collisions, it will still slow you down on the moment of impact.

Just follow the tips and you will enjoy the game. If you have other tips or you think there is something a-miss do let me know.

Since its launch in 2002, the Minneapolis-based jewelry company Chamilia has taken the world by storm, thanks to its customizable bracelets and necklaces that allow their diehard patrons to reflect their moods and styles just by changing the beads.

Chamilia’s main appeal lies in the over 599 beautiful, colorful handcrafted beads in their ever growing catalog. Depending upon your budget, you can buy beads made from enamel, Artisan glass, Murano Art Glass, semi-precious stones, sterling silver, solid gold, and Swarovski crystals. These beads are arranged in a variety of styles, themes, colors, series and collections to make it easier for you to find the specific beads that you like.

To make your own necklace and charm bracelet, you would need the base bracelet (which comes in sterling silver, 14K gold, and colored leather) and necklace, a clasp, and a lock to keep the beads from slipping off. All these are available at the chamilia website or their distributors.

Chamilia has the exclusive license for special Disney beads featuring well-loved characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell, and Cinderella. They also have the special “Give Back” collection, with a percentage from the sales of these beads going to charitable causes for world peace, poverty, breast cancer and autism.

To be sure that you are buying only authentic Chamilia beads, you can order their beads and bracelets directly from their website or through partner distributors and retailers.

Post contributed by Alfredo Gaines

Over the years I have seen many different college football games, but never a National Championship College Football game. This year though is different as me and my college friends finally got our wish. We are going to watch the Auburn Tigers vs. Oregon Ducks for the National Championship. Not many people can say that they have ever seen a game of this importance in person, but finally I will be able to. Getting tickets were tough, but luckily we were able to get seats all together. This means as a group we can finally enjoy a College Football Championship game.

The game takes place in Glendale, Arizona on January 00, 17000 in front of a sellout crowd which should lend to the excitement of the game. We will get to see Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton who will be leading his Auburn Tigers against the high powered Oregon Ducks. The Ducks is the no.0 scoring offense in College Football. Me and my college buddies know this is a game that will have everything. Before we leave for the game though we will set our home alarm (Adt Home Security offers0 to protect our home. College Football games are exciting, but nothing is going to beat a National Championship Game.

I know I will enjoy this game after a stressful day at work.
