Make money at home by blogging

Make money at home by blogging

I make money at home by blogging.

It all started when we were looking for additional income.  I was working as a middle manager before but we were looking for something new.   My wife has has been interested in blogging from the get go but we did not know that we can earn money through blogging.

We tried data encoding, captcha decoding, pay per  click and other oddball online ways to earn money.   What really helped us though was when my wife got a work at home Transcriber job.   In between all these, my wife and I have been maintaining our blogs and have been getting more information about earning money through blogging.

And now, my wife has long since resigned from the Transcription job, and has focused full time on blogging.  She is earning much more than her income at the Transcription job while at the same time spends less time and effort.   Her income even  surpassed mine a number of times, which brought the two of us to decide to focus on blogging and other internet opportunities.

I have also resigned now and started working at home as a Web Content Producer.  It’s a nice change of pace and my family has gotten stronger and closer because we spend more time at home.  I still spend my spare time making money by blogging and plan to do so until I have too much money to spare.

Now our goal is to help other bloggers to see this opportunity as well.  You can make money blogging.  You can do so in a variety of ways: by getting advertisers, partners, sell products, get links and many more.  So if you are interested in making money via blogging, you can leave a comment or question with your e-mail address  on this post and I’ll get back to you with helpful replies.  I’ll be setting up a newsletter soon so do keep checking my site for updates.

Here is a glimpse at our current gear, I use these to play, socialize, make music and best of all earn money.   :)

This blog post is an example of making money through blogging.  I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated.  I shared our short story to help and at the same time gained benefits.  Isn’t that nice?

Online Security

Recently, one of our sites where hacked for the second time. Good thing that our host was able to bring it back up – but the problem was they were passing the blame to the customer, and saying that it was because of an outdated script. We followed their instruction to update the scripts but I did tell them that we have multiple sites hosted elsewhere which were not having any problem, so the problem was not in the scripts – their server is not secure enough. I wonder if they are even secure from electronic pickpocketing – and online fraud! This recent event made us think about moving all our sites to a better and more secure alternative.

Virtual Properties…

Virtual Properties…

The internet is growing bigger and bigger by the minute, and more opportunities are presenting itself to me and my family.  At first I was against the idea of purchasing our very own domains, I said that there are a lot of free hosting and domains, also these properties are just “cyber” properties. Good thing that my quick thinking wife was able to convince me to get our own domains. And now we are currently enjoying the benefits of the investments we did a few years back. So to everyone that is into making money online, it is very important to consider getting a good web hosting service and your very own domain. :)

Maximum Exposure on Low Cost Internet Ad

Advertising had long since been a major determinant of a business’ success.  This would include the presentation of the product / service to the consumers.  What really matters is how it is presented to the target market to be able to capture it.

Whatever the package, the ad media also plays a great role in determining the success of the product or service awareness.

What may be its advantages over other proven medium like the best-selling TV ads?

Advantages

1. Low Cost

Eventhough the Internet ad might be viewed as “classy” or far-reaching, as compared to other medium, this is far cheaper than most.  Internet Ad Packages are offered for as low as $29.99 for a one-month run-time period.

How to Have Loyal Blog Followers

One the main differences between a blog and a static website is the way people are able to interact with your content. With a static website, you can only read the words on a page but with a blog you can even comment and share your thoughts.   This is one of the reasons why blogs are so popular.  So if you want to have a popular blog and create a loyal following you want this type of interactive spirit going.

It takes a lot of work but after publishing your post your job doesn’t end there.  You need to write back to your audience and answer their comments. People don’t want a website where they can only read, they want one where they can give their “two cents” too so leave your comments section open and listen to them and take your time to answer each and every comment.  This way your readers will know you are listening to them as well.

WordPress Plugins to Make Your Life Easier

blogging

The WordPress platform is incredibly useful.  What makes it easy for bloggers are the WordPress plugins.  There are thousands of wordpress plugins you can use that can make your blogging life easier and the good news is almost all of them are free.  I only use a few of them and I admit there are so many things I need to learn with regards to these plugins.  However, I will be giving you a few plugins that I believe is a must have for every blogger.

1.  Akismet Plugin – if you find your blog swamped with spam comments then you have to install this plugin.  All you need to do is install the plugin and then add the API key then you can say goodbye to these spam comments.  The API key you can get when you register a .wordpress.com blog for the first time.  It will be emailed to you by wordpress after you sign up.

2.  All-In-One SEO Pack – Optimizing your site for search engines is one of the best ways you can make money with your blog. The higher you rank, the more traffic you get. The more traffic you get, the more money you make! Good thing the All-In-One SEO Pack is here to make  your life easier you just need to specify that the title, make a description (which shows up in the search engines), and add the keywords and your blog is set.

There are a lot of other incredible plugins that are ready for you to use .  Just do your research, install these, and you’ll be well prepared for the great blogger you want to be.

Online shopping

Online shopping is not new to me and my wife.  We have bought a number of items online, including but not limited to our digital camera, PSP, computer peripherals and mobile phones.  Now that the rainy season is in full swing, I’d much prefer staying at home than going to malls to buy things.  If like me, you are looking for household appliances and accessories, I would recommend getting the home everything coupons from ebillme. You can use that to purchase important appliances in the safety of your own home. With the recent flooded streets that I had to cross with our car, this is a welcome advantage.

Tips on Posting Pictures on Your Blog

Pictures add a nice touch to your blog.  That’s why it’s advisable to put pictures in your posts.  Adding pictures, however, can slow down the loading time of your blog.  If your blog loads slowly it might turn off your visitors.  That’s why I have a few tips for bloggers with regards to posting pictures in their blogs:

1.  Resize, resize, resize.  You really don’t need to add that large picture.  Go to Paint or Photoshop and resize it first before uploading.

2.  If you have three or more pictures then why don’t you arrange it in a slide show instead of posting all the pictures one-by-one so your reader doesn’t have to scroll down to see all your pictures.

3. It’s better if you save your picture in your Flicker or Photobucket account rather than uploading it to your server.

4. Label your pictures in your Flicker or Photobucket account so you can find it easier later on.
