Father’s Day Gift – Side Story
Since my wife already divulged everything that happened on Father’s day at her blog, I’ll just add in a few details that she left out.
I am used to her style of giving, she either gives me something extravagant, or nothing at all. And usually, these extravagant things are not what I was expecting – but I still end up liking. Last year she surprised me with a 4th Gen iPod Touch, it was totally unexpected because I am a Windows guy that think Mac stuff is for simpletons. Ironically, I loved the iPod touch and it led us to be more interested with Apple products. To make the long story short, we now have an iPad and a Macbook Pro and we love them both.
Her gift this time around was an expensive perfume, she was planning to surprise me with it but Zyke being the honest kid easily spilled the beans when we spoke over the phone before they went home. The decision to give me a perfume was another one of her unexpected and extravagant gifts – because I have been complaining to her that I have too many colognes and perfumes, that I didn’t know which one to use. They are of the cheaper kind, but I am quite content with them. The last thing I wanted was another Perfume and an expensive one at that! But just like before, I ended up liking her gift, which I easily became grateful for. Maybe it’s not the gifts that I like, but the giver. Thanks for the gifts!

“…Maybe its not the gifts that I like, but the giver…” aaaw that’s sweet
Belated happy fathers day!
I like that you’re not choosy with gifts! Belated Happy Father’s Day!

Great gift you got there! Mine was a belt which cost around Php1400 and was on sale. Hahaha! The only catch is that I’m the one who bought it because my wife needs to stay with the kids. Anyway thanks for the moms!
You’re Mommy P’s wife! Hehe! Hello!
I’m glad you liked her gift. Men and women really do have different perspectives in gift giving. But out of curiosity, what would you have wanted, if you were able to request for a gift?
I do make requests, and she’s well aware of the things that I want, but she insists on giving me what she wants anyway.
you have a thoughtful wife..
And agree, at the end of the the day, no matter what gift it is, it’s the giver that still matters..
She gives the best because she thinks you deserves one. Belated Happy father’s day!
You’re one lucky hubby! :_)

Great gift that you received through your wife. The last part it is really cheesy and if ever that your wife see the post most probably she will be happy about that..

God bless..
P.S. nice pic from the concert of Israel hughton and planet shakers!
This post reminds me of an old book. I think the title is “Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars.” Men and women have different perspectives on just about everything.
OMG, you’re Paula’s husband. These discoveries. Isn’t she sweet? Noting that down and will reproduce the deed when I get married. XDD
Belated happy father’s day. I’m surprised that mommy paula’s hubby also has his own blog..Your wife is really sweet:)
My bf is exactly the same! He wouldn’t normally buy the stuff I give him but eventually he would learn to love them. I think most guys just doesn’t experiment a lot? They almost always go for what they’re used to. What do you think?
Great to have visited the blog of Mommy Paula’s husband. You’re both blessed to have each other, with gifts or none. Belated Happy Father’s day.
you are one spoiled husband. heheheheh
I bet you give her extravagant things too.
