Visiting Chateau Royale in Batangas
There were so many sights to see at the Chateau Royale. It really was worth the trip to Batangas. I initially thought we were only going to go swimming there but I was wrong. The place was so huge that we literally got tired walking. I think they can even hold a football game there if they want. Anyway, we didn’t see any football trophies so I guess there was no football field there.
What we did see was a mini-zoo. The children had fun watching the animals and even holding some of them. Z was even brave enough to touch a turtle. The place has a playground and a pond with a small bridge over it. The highlight, of course, was the clean swimming pool. We didn’t forget to take a dip just before going home.

At the Gardenia Factory
Z was also able to visit the Gardenia bread factory. No, that’s not real bread in the picture. Gardenia has a no picture taking policy inside the plant so this is the only picture we got. The factory was amazing though because everything is already automated. We saw only a few workers handling the bread. I guess this is why Gardenia is the top brand when it comes to breads. They are dedicated in ensuring quality by investing on the best equipments.

Investing in Gold and Silver
My wife and I have been talking about investing our hard earned money. We have tried investing in mutual funds. I heard it’s one good way to beat the inflation so instead of putting your money in the bank where it will just depreciate in time because of inflation, you’re better off investing it in mutual funds. However, we know that there are risks associated with mutual funds so we only invest money that we can afford to lose.
But one of the best investments I heard we can make is by buying gold or silver bullion. Gold and silver are so in demand these days that production is really struggling to keep up. We’re not really knowledgeable about investing in this but we’re willing to learn. We’ll research first and then talk about this in the future.

At the Palace in the Sky
Our first stop was at Palace in the Sky. It was a chilly morning so I’m glad Z brought his jacket along. I don’t know how high we were from the sea level but it sure felt like being in the sky! Should have brought the camera stand along so we could have taken decent pictures together. Anyway, there’s always next time.

Field Trip Fun
Spent a full day bonding with my son on field trip day. We went to Tagaytay and Batangas. It was very tiring for an oldie like me but it was sure worth it. I’m glad I was able to take the day off and be with my son on his very first field trip.
